About the role

Hasura is seeking a Director of UX to lead the user experience strategy of our AI product, PromptQL. You will partner closely with product management, engineering, and the technical team to deliver a high-quality AI user experience. You will define and own the UX roadmap, enhancing usability, delight, and value for our customers. Additionally, you will oversee design research and incorporate UI/UX best practices based on your prior experience.

Role Requirements

• You are a UX expert capable of leveraging thoughtful design and user flows to impact a paradigm-shifting product.
• You have experience with conversational AI, low-code AI workflow builders, or AI automation platforms.
• You possess skills connecting human-centered design with the technical, probabilistic, and ambiguous aspects of AI systems.
• You are familiar with machine learning fundamentals, LLMs, and understanding how accurate AI can unlock business outcomes across industries.
• You are adept at testing AI-specific UX issues.
• You are comfortable with prototyping/wireframing and communicating ideas to diverse audiences.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You might not be a fit if you prefer working in isolation, have limited AI experience, are uncomfortable with rapid prototyping, cannot independently run and test software, or prefer established UX patterns over defining new paradigms.

Technical Skills

• Figma
• Git
• Basic Shell (Mac or Linux)
• Docker (preferred but not mandatory)

Location & Travel

Located 2-3 days/week at our HQ in downtown San Francisco. No regular travel required, except for occasional conferences or meet-ups.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 + bonus
