Essential Function

Assistant Managers, as part of their development, support the Store Manager in all areas outlined below and are responsible for all Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present. Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences, effectively overseeing all store operations, and maintaining brand standards. Develop the strategies and plans to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and consistent accountability.

Job Description

• Manage relationships with vendors and customers, manage talent, and inspire your team to ensure every customer has a great experience. Build relationships and loyalty with a tailored approach to their hair and beauty needs.
• Ensure your store meets or exceeds sales goals by overseeing operations, maintaining budgets, controlling expenses, growing sales, managing inventory, and handling financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguard company assets and technology.
• Follow safety and security procedures to protect customers, staff, and store assets.
• Demonstrate CosmoProf/BSG Culture Values and adhere to the company code of ethics and behavior.
• Ensure the store is presentable, with responsibilities including opening and closing daily.

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities, and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Preferred 3+ years in retail sales/customer service
• Preferred 1+ year of management experience
• Ability to lead or support a team to meet objectives
• Effective communication skills
• Availability to meet business needs
• Cosmetology license is desirable but not required

Legal Information

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally using a ladder, with or without accommodations.
• Potential exposure to fumes and odors.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items. May involve working around moving parts, carts, or chemicals.
