KPMG is seeking a Director in Financial Due Diligence for our Deal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to Fortune 1000 companies and private equity investors.
  2. Manage and coordinate the approach of clients, KPMG's engagement teams, and third-party diligence providers throughout the transaction process.
  3. Manage staff in the field and in the office, providing real-time feedback and guidance to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
  4. Analyze target company data to identify financial and operating trends, quality of earnings, working capital considerations, and potential liabilities affecting valuation and negotiations.
  5. Create tailored transaction advisory reports addressing key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation assumptions, budget achievability, and indebtedness considerations.
  6. Lead and participate in people development and business development efforts.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of eight years of experience in accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction services at a Top Ten public accounting firm.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CPA eligibility; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  3. Extensive project management experience, including planning, organizing, and managing staff, clients, and partners.
  4. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC financial reporting, IFRS, mergers and acquisitions, or transaction services.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with prior business development experience.
  6. Willingness and ability to travel.
  7. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship available.
