Job Description

The Vice President, GTM Strategy & Commercialization for NA will be accountable for growing Visa's Value-Added Services ("VAS") revenue by making these Products easy to buy and sell. The role focuses on the next generation of VAS, extending Visa's relevance beyond traditional payments and processing. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a regional go-to-market strategy, enabling sales teams, and managing the full lifecycle of VAS product commercialization. This involves aligning products with regional client needs, positioning, pricing, sales narratives, delivery processes, and supporting tools and documentation.

This role reports to the SVP, Value-Added Services for NA, and collaborates with various functions across a matrixed organization, including Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Customer Service. Organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are essential.

Candidates should have hands-on experience launching software-centric B2B products through direct and indirect sales channels, with a commercial mindset focused on revenue growth. The ideal leader is innovative, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and comfortable engaging with both executives and junior staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Regional Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aligned with global goals, ensuring product-market fit and effective positioning.
  2. Regional Product Commercialization: Oversee the full lifecycle of VAS products, including development, launch preparation, and post-launch performance tracking.
  3. Regional Sales Excellence and Enablement: Drive sales excellence through best practices, process optimization, and tailored training programs.
  4. Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement: Monitor key metrics, gather market and customer feedback, and refine strategies accordingly.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate activities across regional and global teams to ensure consistent product positioning and sales enablement.
  6. Market Research: Conduct regional market research, competitive benchmarking, and gather client feedback to inform product roadmaps.
  7. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a diverse team of professionals supporting product growth and regional initiatives.
  8. Governance: Manage governance processes to ensure standards and KPIs are met for product commercialization and deployment.
  9. Operational Challenges: Collaborate across functions to resolve operational issues such as billing, contracting, and customer support.

Note: This is a hybrid role with specific in-office days to be confirmed by the hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 8+ years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Proven success in B2B product commercialization and GTM strategy.
  • Experience working in matrixed, ambiguous environments.
  • Deep understanding of the payment industry and VAS products.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements: 5-10% travel expected.

Physical/Mental Requirements: Office-based role requiring sitting, standing, communication, and operation of standard office equipment.

U.S. Applicants Only: Estimated salary range is $236,300 to $369,300 annually, potentially including incentives, bonuses, and equity, along with a benefits package.
