Who You Are:

We are committed to providing exceptional facility maintenance services with high safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards. We seek an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at USPS IT Data. The successful candidate will ensure contract compliance, optimize facility performance, and deliver excellent customer service while managing a team and subcontractors.

This role involves maintaining specialized IT infrastructure and mechanical systems, including precision cooling, backup power, and general facility systems. The Facility Maintenance Manager will work independently with minimal supervision, reporting to a Program Manager elsewhere.

What You'll Do:

1. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and safety standards.
2. Manage maintenance activities for IT Data Centers.
3. Oversee maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, including:
1. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems: Inspection, testing, and maintenance.
2. Precision cooling systems: Maintain optimal temperature and humidity.
3. Backup generators: Conduct load tests, fuel checks, and servicing.
4. Fire suppression systems: Inspect and maintain systems like FM-200 and Novec 1230.
5. General facility systems: Chillers, cooling towers, boilers, security, and pest control.
4. Develop and implement safety plans, fostering a zero-accident culture.
5. Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring communication and issue resolution.
6. Coordinate schedules to prevent conflicts and ensure timely maintenance.
7. Identify subcontractor needs, coordinate requirements, and verify performance.
8. Prepare reports on maintenance activities and metrics.
9. Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent issues.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years' mechanical maintenance experience, including IT infrastructure, data centers, cooling systems, UPS, generators, and fire suppression.
• Expertise in centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to supervise subcontractors ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong customer service skills and positive client relationship management.
• Valid US driver's license and minimum vehicle insurance requirements.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background check, MVR, and drug test.
• Compliance with company drug and alcohol policies.
• Authorization to work in the US or ability to obtain it by start date.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $100,000 - $108,000 per year

Location Requirements

The role is primarily onsite in San Mateo, CA.
