Under the direction of the General Manager, the Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the operation of the kitchen and food service areas. The manager must ensure compliance with state and local liquor laws, maintaining the liquor license in good standing. Additionally, the manager must ensure compliance with all laws regulating food service. This position supervises the housekeeping department, the coffee shop chef, the Asian food chef, and the waitstaff.

Specific duties include:

1. Hire and train department personnel. Monitor and evaluate the performance of personnel under the manager's supervision.
2. Manage the schedule for employees.
3. Write and implement policies and procedures to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Oversee the ordering of food, beverages, and related supplies to maintain sufficient inventory while minimizing spoilage.
5. Research and develop menu options to meet customer preferences and quality standards, and set pricing.
6. Manage the operation and maintenance of the point of sale system for the department.
7. Coordinate departmental operations with other departments.
8. Track and maintain updated licenses per regulations.

Requirements:

1. Availability to work evenings, nights, and weekends to address departmental issues.
2. Must be at least 21 years old.
3. Applicants must pass a background check and obtain a police work permit.
4. Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus.
