Role Overview

As the Device Packaging Experience (DPX) team's Creative Operations Manager, you will be pivotal in ensuring our team's operational efficiency, balancing creative needs with business objectives. This role requires analytical thinking, resource planning, and operational expertise. You will understand all aspects of graphic design, production, and printing processes from start to finish. You will serve as the relationship manager between our creative resources, stakeholders (Creative Program Management, Asset Management, Program Management, etc.), and external vendors, enabling our artists to produce innovative device packaging and publications that delight millions of customers worldwide.

Responsibilities Include

  1. Develop resource forecasts aligned with product roadmaps and program schedules.
  2. Prioritize projects to meet deadlines while optimizing team workload.
  3. Track and analyze program metrics to inform design and production planning.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams on peak season planning, including resource allocation and budget management.
  5. Oversee quarterly department-wide budget planning and submissions.
  6. Analyze business processes and create resource models to determine staffing needs.
  7. Manage design studio operations, including scheduling meetings, coordinating facilities, and maintaining supplies.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with global vendors, including training and performance monitoring.
  9. Coordinate press checks and manage print sample archives.
  10. Implement and optimize digital tools such as Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Program Management systems.
  11. Establish and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Graphic Arts, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in packaging studio management, creative traffic management, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in packaging and/or print artwork development.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with web-based project management tools (e.g., Wrike, WorkFront).
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to earn trust and influence teams at all levels.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks with constant changes.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative work and hands-on involvement.
  • Experience in consumer electronics is a plus.
