About the Role

T9 is looking for a full-time Community & Culture Specialist to join our Brand Team. Reporting to our Community & Culture Manager, the Community & Culture Specialist is responsible for supporting Title Nine's Community events and initiatives, and delivering our "only at Title Nine" employee programs and bringing our culture to life: making Title Nine a place where every employee can Lead, Risk and Own.

This role will require you to have excellent time management and planning skills, strong people skills with a sincere interest in getting to know our Community (internal and external), and most importantly a passion for fitness and outdoor adventure focused programming.

The Community & Culture Specialist is based out of our Emeryville, CA (Doyle) office with frequent travel to our Distribution Center in Richmond.

COMMUNITY

  • With direction from the Community & Culture Manager, support end-to-end execution of key programs, such as our annual Pitchfest, T9 Influencer Program, and Retail events
  • Assist in community outreach to Women Owned businesses to nurture existing partnerships and explore new partnerships
  • Support Influencer Program by creating campaign briefs, executing product shipments, and searching for new partnerships
  • Manage logistics around giveaways and sweepstakes, including outreach, fulfillment, shipment, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Serve as point person for donation + swag requests across the organization and with external partners
  • Stay current with Social Media trends, take initiative on opportunities for Employee Generated Content
  • Research and connect T9 Retail partners to community partners for upcoming Retail events
  • Partner with Community & Culture Manager to identify opportunities for Employee engagement with our key Community partners
  • Support additional community initiatives & partnerships as they arise
CULTURE
  • Develop and deliver programs, events and activities that bring Title Nine's values and culture to life for our employees across all channels (Doyle, DC, Retail) including but not limited to Doyle weekday workouts, 3pm challenges, and spontaneous joy-sparkers.
  • Spend up to 20% of workweek at the DC getting to know our employee base; partner closely with DC leadership on culture programming that adds value to our T9ers.
  • Plan and execute annual employee events such as T9 Olympics, Beast Challenge, Summer BBQ, T9 Thanksgiving, and Milk and Cookies using creativity and feedback to keep annual events fresh and new.
  • Champion uniquely-Title Nine perks like Play Together, Stay Together, encouraging employees to lead, risk and own these events
  • Partner with Conditioning & Performance team on non-monetary employee perks to ensure programs are easy to find and use (e.g. Commuter Benefits, LinkedIn Learning/T9U, Buddy Program, Pro Deals etc)
  • Partner with Conditioning & Performance team on new hire onboarding to create a smooth and on-brand new hire experience; lead "Day 1" Culture activities for all new hires at Doyle.
  • Support recruiting efforts by leading candidate tours when onsite interviews take place
  • Research, develop and implement new culture opportunities and events to increase participation and engagement for all T9ers, including our retail store locations and distribution center.
  • Monitor event attendance and participation, conduct periodic surveys to measure interest, and present culture reports to leadership approximately 2 times per year.
  • Develop and manage vendors and suppliers to support delivery of employee programs (e.g. sports and fitness trainers, catering companies, SWAG) in alignment with the T9 brand
About You

You also have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, sociology, recreation management or related field; or equivalent work-related experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in community engagement programs, event planning, or similar.
  • Superb time management, planning and scheduling skills with a proven ability to be flexible, adapt to changes, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to self-manage, problem solve, and have a Can-Do attitude
  • Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office and strong bias toward process improvement
