Job Details

Position Summary:

The Waitperson is responsible for the set-up, delivery, and clean-up of the meal period for which he/she is responsible. The Waitperson also provides service in a friendly and congenial manner.

Position Responsibilities include:

1. Sets wait station(s) and keeps station well stocked and cleaned.
2. Busses and resets tables as needed.
3. Takes resident meal orders in accordance with prescribed diets, preferences, dislikes, and food allergies in an accurate and courteous manner and provides prompt service.
4. Assists with preparing plates and serving residents.
5. Performs the assigned opening and closing duties promptly and efficiently.
6. Keeps Cooks and Supervisor/Manager on Duty informed of questions, reactions, comments, or problems that may arise.
7. Assists at special events as requested.
8. Familiar with food service disaster plan.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.

Training and Experience: Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred. California Food Handler certification.

Job Knowledge: Understanding of the philosophy of quality customer service and satisfaction.
