Bin 415 is a sommelier-founded private wine tour company offering bespoke experiences in Napa, Sonoma, and San Francisco. In addition to our curated tours, we operate an intimate, high-end tasting room inside the iconic Fairmont Hotel. We are deeply committed to hospitality and creating unforgettable wine experiences for guests from around the world.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial-minded Director of Operations to oversee our San Francisco tasting room and lead communications for our private tour business. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a self-starter who can take initiative, wear many hats, and help grow and build the business. You'll have a direct impact on both daily operations and long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Tasting Room Oversight & Hosting
    Host daily wine tastings and private events with warmth, professionalism, and deep wine knowledge.
    Cultivate a warm, engaging atmosphere in the tasting room aligned with Bin 415's high-touch standards.
    Manage scheduling, inventory, and guest experience from start to finish.
    Lead and inspire a small team of hosts/sommeliers (as business scales).
  2. Business Development & Partnerships
    Foster and grow winery partnerships to enhance both tour and tasting room offerings.
    Identify new business opportunities and collaborations across the wine and hospitality industries.
    Represent Bin 415 at networking events, trade gatherings, and industry tastings.
  3. Tour Operations & Communication
    Serve as the central point of contact for guest communications related to private tours.
    Manage email and phone inquiries, assist with booking logistics, and ensure exceptional pre- and post-tour service.
    Support tour logistics and guide communication when needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in wine hospitality, events, or luxury guest services.
  • Strong wine knowledge and ability to speak confidently and authentically about wine.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial instincts and the drive to grow the business.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with CRM or tour booking software is a plus.
  • Professional, warm, and customer-obsessed.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $50,000
  • Commissions, profit sharing, and gratuities – total compensation expected to exceed $100,000+/year
