Position Responsibilities

  1. Design, model, optimize, and analyze use cases for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage systems.
  2. Research and shortlist energy storage equipment and technologies to enhance client value.
  3. Create pricing and modeling tools to support estimating teams.
  4. Use modeling software to generate accurate production estimates.
  5. Characterize losses due to equipment behavior and environmental factors based on industry experience.
  6. Knowledge of SCADA/Controls systems.
  7. Perform calculations for losses, conductor sizing, equipment ratings, fusing, safety, and protection, adhering to standards like NEC, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, UL, and NFPA.
  8. Develop or utilize software tools to optimize solar/wind and storage designs for energy yield and project value.
  9. Create site-specific building blocks and layouts for proposals and engineering activities.
  10. Optimize project designs considering scope, schedule, budget, and geography.
  11. Support troubleshooting and resolution of engineering, construction, and performance issues.
  12. Develop processes to streamline technical inputs for bid operations.
  13. Apply industry best practices.
  14. Assist in proposal development.
  15. Support project turnover and performance testing of new facilities.
  16. Validate performance guarantees and provide ongoing support.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related; Master's preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in energy storage and renewables.
  • Design experience related to energy storage and renewables.
  • Knowledge of electrical concepts and power conversion equipment.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future.

Training

  • On-the-job, safety, and compliance training.
