Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales Representative - Experienced

Location: Livermore, CA

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop sales goals and strategic plans for the contract department, collaborating with District Management to achieve these goals.
  2. Identify and qualify targeted projects, fostering local customer relationships to generate tangible sales.
  3. Engage with industry associations and the customer community to enhance the Cosco brand in this market.
  4. Contact prospects, qualify potential buyers for new construction and service contracts, and follow up on leads using marketing strategies.
  5. Maintain and grow customer relationships through quotations, needs anticipation, and technical support.
  6. Ensure profit objectives are met throughout the sales and project execution processes.
  7. Prepare layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.
  8. Coordinate proposal and contract processing, ensuring timely communication with operations staff for turnover and billing.
  9. Seek new customers actively, including cold calling to expand the customer base.
  10. Manage projects post-sale as needed.
  11. Estimate service work and small projects, including day-work.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 4 years of fire sprinkler sales experience.
  2. Ability to interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system designs, and NFPA codes.
  3. Proven leadership, negotiation skills, and sales achievements.
  4. Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. College degree in business, construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  7. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  8. Previous sprinkler design experience, including hydraulic calculations, is preferred.
  9. Experience in fire sprinkler project management is preferred.
  10. Ability to close sales and handle various sales situations.
  11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Livermore, CA
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervision, but guidance to operations team during project execution is expected.
  • Certifications: None required; NICET certification is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
