About Pinterest Labs:

At Pinterest Labs, you'll work on tackling new challenges in machine learning and artificial intelligence alongside a world-class team of research scientists and machine learning engineers. You'll conduct research applicable across Pinterest's engineering teams, engage in external collaborations and mentoring, and perform research in areas such as: computer vision, graph neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), inclusive AI, reinforcement learning, user modeling, and recommender systems.

What you'll do:

1. Contribute to cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence applicable to Pinterest problems.
2. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data findings to build intelligent, data-driven models.
3. Write clean, efficient, and sustainable code.
4. Apply machine learning, natural language processing, and graph analysis to solve modeling and ranking problems across growth, discovery, ads, and search.
5. Scope and independently solve moderately complex problems.

What we're looking for:

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, ML, NLP, Statistics, Information Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in machine learning and information retrieval.
• Mastery of at least one systems programming language (Java, C++, Python) or one ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLFlow).
• Experience in research and solving analytical problems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Comfortable solving ambiguous problems and adapting to a dynamic environment.

Salary and Inclusion:

US-based applicants only. Salary range: $176,924 — $364,254 USD. Final salary depends on location, experience, skills, and other factors.
