As the Head of Tax, you will lead the tax advisory team, oversee corporate tax filings for a diverse client base, shape strategic priorities in tax advisory, and drive the development of future growth opportunities for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead a world-class tax advisory team, including internal staff, contract professionals, and partnerships with independent firms.
• Manage the end-to-end tax operations function, ensuring timely and compliant filing of federal and state tax returns across a broad client base.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to develop and implement internal tools that streamline workflows and support tax professionals.
• Spearhead the development of agentic AI systems to automate routine tax tasks, enhance accuracy, and drive operational efficiency.
• Set and execute the strategic direction for tax services, encompassing both domestic and international markets, with a focus on innovation and growth.

What We're Looking For:

• A seasoned tax professional with 5–15 years of experience, preferably holding an active CPA license (though not required).
• A mix of Big Four training and startup exposure, bringing both technical excellence and a scrappy, execution-oriented mindset.
• Robust knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations, particularly as they apply to corporate and business entities.
• Familiarity with R&D tax incentives, deductions, and forward-looking tax planning to support strategic financial decision-making.
• Experience leading tax functions at fast-paced companies—ideal candidates may have previously headed tax firm.
• Leadership capability to guide and grow a team of tax professionals, with strong communication and team-building skills.
