The Women's Center is dedicated to providing an open, encouraging and nurturing environment for the

students of San Francisco State University. The primary goal of our organization is to provide a safe place for

everyone who relies on our resources and supports our ongoing mission to combat misogyny and patriarchy.

Job Description

• Assists the Director in sponsoring a minimum of 3 Women's Center events per semester, which includes the AS Women's Conference in Spring.
• Maintains inventory of books as well as loan/check-out system.
• Organizes and facilitates rap/support group sessions
• Coordinates volunteers for the programs
• Experience managing a team/ coordinating volunteers.
  
  

Qualifications

• . Current student at San Francisco State University taking at least 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates
• Previous volunteer in the Women's Center preferred
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong de-escalation skills
• Knowledge of Women's Center resources
• Relationship with external campus organizations is a plus
• Outreach skills necessary
• Experience managing a team/coordinating volunteers.
