Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Bay Area Discovery Museum seeks a Maintenance Specialist to support our Facilities and Exhibits team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day preservation of the cleanliness and inviting appearance of the museum facilities. It also includes setting up and taking down events and meeting productions.
This position will work onsite on our campus in Sausalito, CA. It is a maintenance role, sometimes custodial-heavy, requiring extended periods of standing, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Duties may be spread throughout our 7.5-acre campus, so candidates must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors on different types of terrain. Candidates will be required to abide by and enforce our health and safety measures.
The pay rate for this non-exempt role is $23.79/hour. This is a progressive role; upon successful completion of at least 90 days, it will be considered for promotion to Facilities Technician with an incremental pay increase.
This position is full-time, depending on the candidate's availability. The schedule will be determined but will include one weekend day.
*Bilingual in Spanish/English pay rate is $24.79/hour.
