Responsibilities

As a Fitness Instructor at Canyon Ranch, you'll be responsible for instructing wellness/fitness classes and ensuring guest comfort, safety, and enjoyment during classes. Your schedule may include aerobic exercise, yoga, muscle toning, strength and endurance, and stretching. You'll assist guests with proper body alignment, equipment, and safety of classes and cardiovascular and weight equipment.

Compensation: $30 per hour plus a 50-minute rate of $25 for individual services booked.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of teaching experience in the fitness industry required.
• A college degree related to fitness (physical education, exercise science, dance, etc.) with thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
• CPR certification and basic first aid knowledge required.

Additional Expectations

• Maintain Continuing Education Credits (CECs) to keep National Group Exercise and Personal Training Certifications current.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to motivate and work with a diverse group of people.
