Job Title: Industrial Design Engineer, GES NA Ops Engineering at Amazon

Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Ops Engineering is seeking an innovative and solutions-oriented engineering project leader to develop and deliver next-generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. This role will influence Concept Design and Firm Engineering processes through work in the Technical Vendor Management (TVM) pillar.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate design and innovation efforts to optimize the sortation and transportation network, including equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions rapidly.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks, influencing and negotiating with business partners, contractors, and vendors.
• Communicate effectively with senior executives, presenting technical solutions and business cases.
• Travel up to 50% globally and work from a corporate office when not traveling.

Qualifications:

Basic:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field with at least 2 years of experience
• Experience with automated material handling, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing systems
• Knowledge of process design based on Lean Principles
• Familiarity with system architecture, optimization, analysis, and decision-making
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Project, CAD software

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years relevant experience
• Experience in Capital project management
