Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a leader with a strong track record in sample management processes and associated workflows to join our growing team. The role encompasses compound, protein, and cell tissue sample management, automation, and lab operations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional leaders and teams to design and maintain a discovery sample management platform that enables future growth and will be accountable for leading this cross-functional sample management, automation, and lab management teams.

As a key member of the Discovery Chemistry Team, you will:

1. Lead all sample management and Chemistry Lab operation functions, including compound registration, inventory, storage, sample tracking, distribution, and communication with collaborators.
2. Work to integrate sample management across the Research organization, establish strategies, and ensure state-of-the-art facilities that enable growth and expansion of all sample management operations (e.g., compound, protein, cell tissue sample management).
3. Collaborate with Information Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Discovery Sciences, Biology, and Pharmacology to evaluate current workflows and facilities, propose, and implement improvements to enable future growth.
4. Oversee continuous optimization of compound and sample management workflows and support expanding HTS screening in the future.
5. Work with external partners to optimize sample archive, storage, distribution, and inventory management, focusing on data safety and company growth.
6. Create and maintain SOPs for critical processes.
7. Maintain effective oral and written communication with research team members and provide support to ensure timelines are met.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

1. BS/MS or equivalent degree in chemical, biological, engineering sciences, or related fields with 10+ years of full-time experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
2. Expertise in modern sample management and data systems.
3. Familiarity with diverse sample types, including small molecules, proteins, plasmids, and cells.
4. Proven leadership experience across multidisciplinary drug discovery teams.
5. Innovative team-player with high energy suitable for a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to lead and achieve research goals as part of an interdisciplinary team.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

• Successful coaching, mentorship, and development of individuals and teams to build long-term organizational capability.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $236,000 to $295,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range on each job posting reflects the salary for onsite work in Redwood City and will be adjusted based on the candidate's location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is influenced by skills, experience, market dynamics, and education.

Please note that base salary is part of the overall rewards package, which includes competitive cash compensation, equity awards, benefits, and learning opportunities.
