The Corporate Giving Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 100 corporate prospects and donors, contributing a total of nearly $3M annually, with an emphasis on cultivating relationships leading to commitments of $10,000+ and optimizing corporate engagement in employee volunteering, employee giving, and strategic partnerships. The CGO will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and prospects, manage and support initiatives related to corporate engagement, and collaborate closely with other teams such as Annual Fund, Community Engagement, Marketing and Communications to increase corporate giving and engagement.

Who You Are:
The Corporate Giving Officer is an experienced fundraising professional who embraces the mission of the Food Bank and understands the opportunities, complexities, and strategies involved in attracting and retaining corporate donors. They will take the initiative to foster activities, proposals, and relationships that support the priorities of the Food Bank. To excel in this position, you will need to approach the work with the following habits and values:

What You Would Be Accountable for:
The Corporate Giving Officer will be responsible for the following key pieces of work:
- Manage a portfolio of roughly 100 corporate funders with a focus on cultivating their robust giving and engagement through:
- renewed and increasing grants
- multi-year commitments
- giving from multiple departments
- employee engagement
- in-kind donations
- pro bono work
- cause marketing and strategic partnerships
- Serve as the lead fundraiser driving revenue from corporate funders. This revenue line contributes roughly $3M/year as of FY25.
- Devise and implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for each funder
- Identify and cultivate prospective new and lapsed corporate funders
- Identify and connect with key organizational contacts who can influence corporate engagement
- Report on activities with a clear sense of long-term strategy
- Arrange and complete face-to-face meetings with 50+ funders a year, including virtual meetings, tours and cultivation events.
- Prepare and submit Letters of Intent (LOI), grant applications and proposals. Requests should total at least 1.5x your $3M fundraising goal
- Record and manage grant deliverables including donor recognition and branding commitments
What You Would Be Doing Right Now:
- Leverage volunteer opportunities, site visits, special events, and donor benefits as cultivation and engagement tools
- Develop expert familiarity with programmatic offerings; maintaining current knowledge of key developments in Food Bank programming and advocacy efforts as they occur.
- Represent the Food Bank at external functions and events
- Engage Senior Leadership, Board Members, Directors, and key program staff and volunteers in fundraising efforts, as appropriate.
- Participate in advancing all Development team priorities forward including special events, corporate & foundation giving, planned giving, and volunteer recruitment
- Work with the Annual Fund team to strategize and maximize matching gift opportunities with corporate supporters.
- Work with Marketing and Communications team to ensure that corporate supporters are recognized on the website, e-newsletter, Annual Report, event programs, and social media.
- Prepare donor briefing materials and research to support meeting preparation
- Follow news and business media to track current trends, industry news, information about current donors and develop prospect list.
- Regularly update proposals, activities and strategy in Raiser's Edge.
- Collaborate with Development Operations team on research, pipeline management and tracking of grant agreements and deliverables.
- Assist in maintaining quality grant writing tools and records, regularly updating the Grants Language Manual, donor database and shared funder files in keeping with new information and exchanges.
- Work closely with the Community Engagement team to facilitate engagement opportunities for employees and teams that deepen the Food Bank's relationship with corporations and businesses.

What Else You Should Know:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least five (5) years of experience in frontline fundraising
- Experience in corporate sponsorships, grant writing and reporting
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and Raiser's Edge or similar donor CRM
- Professional demeanor and experience in an external-facing role

SALARY The position is exempt full-time. The starting salary for this position ranges from $102,467.27-$107,196.89, with exact salary depending on experience.
