Entertainment Commission
The San Francisco Entertainment Commission regulates, promotes, and enhances entertainment and nightlife in the City and County of San Francisco. The seven-member commission has the authority to accept, review and gather information to conduct hearings for entertainment-related permit applications. The City is becoming more populated, and as density increases, so does sensitivity to the impacts of entertainment. The Entertainment Commission works with venues, festivals and events, and the community to mitigate those impacts through mediation, enforcement, and outreach.

Under supervision, the 1840 Junior Sound Inspector works part-time, 20 hours per week (evenings and weekends) alongside one other part-time Sound Inspector and a full-time Senior Inspector who works both in the office and the field supporting the junior team members.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
EDUCATION:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
SUBSTITUTION: Qualifying experience performing professional-level administrative duties in functional areas such as: program/office/operations management, budget development and/or administration, or contract/grant administration may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. One (1) year (2000 hours) of qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units.
