Job Summary & Responsibilities

The person in this position will assist and support with Nevro supplier relationships. As such, they will ensure suppliers and applicable Nevro personnel are in sync regarding the status and activities associated with general supply situations, quality problem resolution, product/process change control activity, and R&D projects. They will support interdepartmental teams to optimize supplier quality, continuity of supply, cost, speed and alignment with Nevro's business interests and direction.

  • Support new product development activity and launches with suppliers and applicable Nevro.
  • Support R&D and OPS Engineering team with expensed PO placement when requested or as required.
  • Assist R&D and OPS Engineering team on new projects.
  • Support sustaining procurement team when required, with order placement and management.
  • Scheduling supplier business reviews and sending out supplier scorecards.
  • Assist with maintaining annual cost increase and decrease material tracker.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing supplier cost and performance to meet company goals.
  • Assist with qualifying new material sources with suppliers and applicable Nevro.
  • Assist with resolving supplier quality issues with suppliers and applicable Nevro.
  • Assist with loading supply agreements/amendments, and NDAs into Apttus.
  • Assist with Finance on updating purchase prices and standard costs.
  • Support monitoring PPVs and provide analysis & explanations to Finance.
  • Support monitoring and managing supplier performance to meet company goals.
  • Support developing and maintaining supplier metrics for quality, price, and service.
  • Create iPurchase requisitions for indirect spend as required.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Three to five or more years of Purchasing experience in a medical device industry. Professionally recognized Purchasing certification desirable.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (QAD an added plus).
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of purchasing and negotiating techniques.
  • Understanding of business and financial impact of purchasing decisions.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, problem-solving ability, flexibility, assertiveness, resilience, quality.
  • Ability to influence, strong negotiation skills, excellent follow-through and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment to accomplish goals while multitasking.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, with a customer-focused sense of urgency.

Target Pay Range

$70,838.00 to $106,258 - the final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. *Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
