Job Description:
Provides comprehensive Child Life services to pediatric inpatients, outpatients and their families, alleviating the potentially deleterious psychosocial effects associated with hospitalization and medical treatment. The Child Life Specialist uses expertise in child development to provide care that is family-centered and developmentally appropriate, to reduce stress, fear and pain, promote positive coping and maintain optimal development.Education:
Bachelor's Degree Child Life Services Required or
Bachelor's Degree Child Development Required or
Bachelor's Degree Related Field - Behavioral Sciences Required or
Bachelor's Degree Related Field - Human Development Required
Master's Degree Preferred
Experience:
3 years Direct Interaction with Children in a health, educational or treatment setting Required
Certifications/Licensures:
CCLS - Certified Child Life Specialist - Current Required
BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification Required

$36.11 - $54.16 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
