Languages are key to our mission of bringing the world closer together. The Meta family of products is currently available in 100+ languages and we are adding many more. Over 70% of people use our products in a language other than English, and ~90% are outside of North America. As a Localization Program Manager, you will partner with product and the rest of internationalization teams to empower Meta products to feel local at a global scale.

Localization Program Manager Responsibilities

1. Engage and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Legal, Product, Engineering, etc.) to launch successful localized products and contents.
2. Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end localization frameworks tailored to various products and diverse content types across Meta.
3. Guide stakeholders across Meta to ensure localization best practices are followed and drive efficient execution.
4. Proactively identify and streamline technical and process issues that affect localized product relevancy, quality, and functionality.
5. Actively seek out opportunities to optimize the international user experience and influence adoptions of optimal solutions.
6. Partner across internationalization to ensure the right resources are in place and all deliveries are completed at the expected standards.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience in localization program or project management.
2. BA/BS or equivalent work experience in localization/internationalization project or program management.
3. Experience with and thorough understanding of translation technologies: translation memories, translation management systems, machine translation, etc.
4. Experience implementing scalable change management frameworks.
5. Experience communicating across and driving results among a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, working across time zones and international offices.
6. Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions.
7. Experience in staying focused, prioritizing, and creating structure across large, ambiguous programs and setting goals for long-term initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Thorough understanding of translation technologies like translation memories, machine translation, and CAT tools.
2. Knowledge of additional languages other than English.
3. Familiarity with internationalization standards such as Unicode and CLDR.
4. Exposure to SQL, analytics tools, or a coding language.
5. Knowledge of AI technologies and potential application in localization workflows.
6. Experience working with localization vendors.

$101,000/year to $152,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives, if applicable.
