Job Description

Turner & Townsend are looking for a Cost Estimator to join our team and support a national office space construction portfolio including remodels and fit-outs for both new and existing spaces.

This role is client-facing and requires a professional with a strong estimating background, particularly in office spaces. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be driven and promote our Turner & Townsend purpose and values.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate and detailed conceptual, schematic, and design development (DD) estimates for office space remodels and fit-outs.
2. Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or queries.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope, budget, and timelines.
5. Generate detailed cost reports and forecasts, presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
6. Stay updated on market trends and pricing to provide accurate cost estimates and advice.
7. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Project/Program specifications:

1. Strong proficiency in conceptual, schematic, and DD estimating in a fast-paced environment.
2. Experience in the commercial sector, including tenant improvements (TI) and fit-out office spaces.
3. Proficiency using industry standard cost estimating software and tools.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost management and/or estimating experience, with a focus on office spaces.
3. Program level cost management and construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
5. Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $130K-$140K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
