Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Job Title: Director of People (Human Resources) $120-140k base + will offer relocate!

Location: Outside of Fresno

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

The Role:

We're looking for a visionary Director of People to lead our People & Culture team and help us build an exceptional, innovative, and inclusive workplace. You will play a pivotal role in creating an employee experience that fuels our growth, inspires our team, and drives our mission forward. This is more than just managing HR functions; it's about fostering a culture where people are empowered to thrive and work at the intersection of sports and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culture Champion: Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and performance-driven company culture where innovation, teamwork, and fun come together. Align people strategies with our brand values and mission, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead the charge in attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent. You'll work closely with our leadership and hiring managers to build high-performing teams and attract diverse, game-changing talent.
  • Employee Experience: Ensure that every stage of the employee lifecycle is exceptional—from onboarding to career development, performance management, and offboarding. Create meaningful experiences that make people want to stay and grow with us.
  • Leadership Development: Develop and implement strategies for leadership training, coaching, and succession planning. Empower our leaders with the tools, resources, and support they need to inspire and guide their teams to success.
  • Performance & Recognition: Drive performance management processes that celebrate achievements, encourage growth, and hold people accountable. Create recognition programs that make every win feel like a victory.
  • HR Operations & Strategy: Oversee all HR operations and strategy, from compliance and compensation to benefits and employee relations. Build systems and processes that scale with our fast-growing business while keeping the human touch at the center.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Advocate for the well-being of our people. Develop programs and initiatives that support mental, physical, and emotional health, while fostering work-life balance.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in sports, technology, or a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a big plus!
  • A passion for creating inclusive, high-performance cultures that blend creativity, innovation, and fun.
  • Proven track record of driving HR strategy, organizational development, and talent management initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you're a trusted advisor who builds relationships with both leadership and employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex challenges and guide teams through change.
  • A deep understanding of HR metrics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with modern HR technologies, tools, and platforms (HRIS, ATS, etc.).
