We are seeking a Head of Talent to own and drive our recruiting, onboarding, total rewards, and HR operations in a way that supports our high-performance, distributed workforce.


Role Description

As our Head of Talent, you will be responsible for building and leading all aspects of our talent strategy, from full-cycle recruiting to HR operations and benefits administration. You will work closely with leadership and hiring managers to ensure we attract, develop, and retain the best talent while maintaining a strong company culture aligned with our business objectives.


Responsibilities

i. Full-Cycle Recruiting & Talent Acquisition. Lead and execute hiring efforts across technical, newsroom, sales and operational roles. Systemize internal practices around: requisition requests, job postings, sourcing strategies, interview protocols and candidate evaluations.


ii. Onboarding & Offboarding. Design and manage onboarding process to accelerate new hire ramp, including standardizing 30/60/90 plans with hiring managers. Oversee offboarding to ensure mutual respect, compliance, and knowledge transfer.


iii. Total Rewards & Benefits Administration. Support the delivery and communication of compensation, equity, and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and align with company strategy. Manage benefit provider relationships and ensure employees understand and maximize their benefits.


iv. HR Operations, Compliance & Employee Stewardship. Maintain compliance with labor laws across jurisdictions, oversee HRIS tools, and implement scalable policies that support a high-performance, remote workforce. Foster a strong company culture that aligns with business objectives and values.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition, HR operations, or people management, preferably in a high-growth startup or remote-first company.
  • Proven ability to recruit and hire across a diverse range of roles, from technical to sales.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable onboarding and offboarding programs, in a remote working environment.
  • Strong understanding of compensation, equity, and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of US labor laws and compliance requirements across multiple states.
  • Experience with HRIS (we're on Rippling), ATS, and other HR tools.
