General Ledger Accountant

San Bruno, CA $30-$32/hour Temporary On-Site Manufacturing

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is a large manufacturing company based in the Peninsula, currently seeking a temporary General Ledger Accountant to assist with the account reconciliation and GL maintenance efforts of the company. This is a fully on-site opportunity with an hourly pay rate between $30-$32/hour, depending upon relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Perform reconciliations of cash, prepaid, and fixed asset accounts to assist with month-end close processes
• Accurately maintain the general ledger records
• Monitor ad-hoc banking transactions and balances as needed
• Prepare accruals and adjustments, as well as journal entries to support month-end close
• Support the financial statement preparation process
• Provide support for internal and external audits
• Other duties as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of experience in general accounting, finance, or related field
• Experience using Workday is a plus
• Strong experience with account reconciliations required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to use Excel (entry to mid-level)
