Senior Technical Product Manager, SAP Success Central

Job ID: 2926048 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.

This role is open to these locations: Seattle, WA; and Dallas, TX. Relocation offered from within the US to any of these locations.

AWS is looking for leaders like you to help launch SAP Success Central (SAPSC), a dedicated Center of Excellence providing SAP expertise and managed services to help teams across Amazon accelerate their SAP journey while raising the bar on security, developer efficiency, operational excellence and financial responsibility.

SAPSC is part of the Success Central team who also operate Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) which is a Center of Excellence for Salesforce across Amazon. Success Central owns security mechanisms and financial governance related to Salesforce/SAP development, and delivers company-wide, reusable components for common Salesforce/SAP use cases and recommended third-party solutions. We provide managed Amazon integrated solutions for security, DevOps and system integrations as well as expertise, training and community to grow our talent and share Salesforce/SAP best practices and learnings across Amazon. Delivering at Amazon scale and building industry-grade solutions, we partner closely with Salesforce/SAP business and technical leadership. We give Salesforce/SAP superpowers with AWS innovation.

On the Success Central team, you'll be responsible for defining the product and service vision for SAPSC to maximize our value to Amazon teams innovating with SAP. You will be the pioneer in extending the Success Central program to SAP by working with internal teams interested in or already using SAP to understand the demand and formulating a GTM strategy and resourcing plan to support these teams. You will own the business model on how teams can “pay” for our offerings based on the value that we deliver to ensure Customer Obsession and Ownership. You will lead our consulting partners to provide SAP expertise to Amazon and build out SAPSC.

Key job responsibilities

As the Head of Product, you will define the strategic vision and own the long-term roadmap for major suites of technology products with company-wide impact. Working with technical teams within Success Central, you will use your product domain expertise, customer obsession, and ownership of the end-to-end product development cycle (customer engagements, stakeholder buy-ins and requirements definition, CX design, compliance, feature definition and prioritization, product messaging, go-to-market strategies, and post-launch closed-loop feedback mechanisms) to lead products and teams through strategic and technical ambiguity to ultimate success. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market and technical and business outcomes, clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes. Beyond a strong technical background and proven track record of product management, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends.

A day in the life

We have a team culture that encourages diversity and innovation. We expect team members and management alike to take high ownership for their vision and execution of ideas, and to foster a work environment empowering everyone to do the same. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience with 4+ years of technical product management experience in a related industry

- Demonstrated experience translating customer needs and product opportunities into innovative and detailed product requirements for business applications with large and diverse customer bases and business use cases
- Proven track record of delivering results in company-wide, cross-functional technical initiatives
- MBA, and/or advanced degree in computer science or related field
- Experience managing contractors
