Summary:

An immediate 6-month contract opportunity is available for a Research Associate in the Translational Biology Group. This role is part of a dynamic, cross-functional team focused on discovering and advancing novel drug candidates and disease biomarkers in fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned assays and tasks following established laboratory procedures, ensuring high data quality and reproducibility.
• Learn and apply new lab techniques, troubleshoot experiments, and maintain high experimental standards.
• Interpret and communicate experimental findings clearly and consistently.
• Support multiple projects with shifting priorities based on team needs.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related field, with at least 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in academia or industry.
• Proficiency in cell culture, qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, and immunofluorescence staining is required; experience with Nanostring and MSD assays is a plus.
• Comfortable handling ex vivo human and rodent tissues.
• Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate results both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptability to schedule adjustments based on project needs (occasional weekend work may be required).
• Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability, and enthusiasm for learning.
• Ability to contribute effectively within a culture emphasizing respect, accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
