Machine Learning Engineer

$140k – $210k + Equity

Location: San Mateo, CA / Hybrid

About the Role: We're on the lookout for a Machine Learning Engineer to help shape the future of our AI-powered platform. This is a unique opportunity to work on greenfield projects, leveraging advanced techniques in reinforcement learning, generative AI, and image/video processing.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Conduct research and experiments to advance state-of-the-art AI techniques.
• Optimize algorithms for image and video processing tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production systems.
• Rapidly prototype ideas using Google Colab.
• Perform data preprocessing, augmentation, and analysis to boost model performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI.
• Document methodologies, experiments, and findings.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with reinforcement learning and generative AI.
• Expertise in image and video processing algorithms.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platforms for deploying ML models.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Bonus Points:

• Experience with NLP techniques.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
• Background in video streaming, digital advertising, or real-time bidding systems.
