Description:

Our client, a global institutional asset management firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has a strong HR foundation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Please note this is a hybrid, 7-month contract role in San Francisco, CA. Pay will be $60/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic employee personnel files, including new hire documentation, employment status changes, time and attendance records, and performance management data.
  • Assist with pre-employment processes, including background checks and onboarding paperwork.
  • Process HR invoices and ensure timely payment.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as needed.
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate time tracking and PTO management.
  • Conduct benefits reconciliation audits as needed.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits and payroll.
  • Maintain and update HRIS and related systems for employee records and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity; Financial Services industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in UKG (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Payroll and benefits administration knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter who thrives both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
