Overview
LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting new opportunity for a Center Supervisor at our Elmhurst Prep/Alliance Academy School Based Health Center in Oakland. The Center Supervisor provides operational supervision and ongoing support to staff in an individual health center. Will coordinate primary care teams and supervise all center-based primary care support staff. Provides day-to-day oversight and management of systems, workflows and operations including front and back office.
This is a full-time, exempt, benefit-eligible position.

Benefits

Responsibilities
- Supports the development and implementation of Primary Care Teams and supports all clinic staff, including Medical, Behavioral Health and Dental Leads/Managers.
- Facilitates smooth operations and communications between all clinic departments and staff.
- Develops appropriate organizational structure(s) and weekly staffing schedules for the clinic and maintains master calendar.
- Oversees daily clinic operations, including patient and work flow, resolves problems, seeking support from Manager as needed.
- Liaison between the clinic and administrative services.
- Addresses patient grievances.
- Develops procedures in conjunction with staff and Manager.
- Builds and maintains relationships with community partners, other LifeLong facilities and staff. This includes schools staff and school administration.
- Attends appropriate school level meetings, i.e. COST as well as Alameda County School Health Alliance meetings.
- Work in Dentrix system, Epic system, and various insurance systems.
- Maintain Clinic Huddles and communication with team members.
- Maintain HIPAA/PHI.
- Ability to travel between sites as needed.
- Additional duties, as assigned by Program Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience with School-Based Health Care/adolescent health.
- Cultural competence in working with a diverse patient population in a community-based organization, including trauma-informed care.
- Have flexibility in meeting clients' needs.
- Commitment to the provision of primary care services for the underserved with demonstrated ability and sensitivity in working with a variety of people from low-income populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic and cultural origins.
- Ability to effectively supervise staff, encourage and nurture development and growth, to build a strong and productive team.
- Strong organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills, and ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
- Ability to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners and vendors.
- Ability to work with individuals and organizations at the local level to build support.
- Ability to seek direction/approval on essential matters, yet work independently with little onsite supervision, using professional judgment and diplomacy.
- Work in a team-oriented environment with a number of professionals with different work styles and support needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.

Job Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish – conversational as well as read and write.
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a community clinic or medical office setting.
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Ability to work evening and Saturday hours (Sparingly).
Job Preferences
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
- Community or Public Health experience.
