Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
As a Vice President reporting to the Head of Translational Research in Biology, the individual will collaborate with colleagues in Research and Development to define and execute on a vision for translational research of our RAS(ON) tri-complex inhibitor pipeline. The individual will lead a team focused on discovery and validation of biomarkers of therapeutic response and resistance to RAS(ON) inhibitors in RAS-addicted cancers. The science emerging from these efforts is expected to enable translational biomarker and combination strategies for RAS(ON) inhibitors and drive reverse translation to inform early discovery programs and disease area learnings. Responsibilities include critical oversight of biomarker discovery efforts ranging from big data mining, biomarker/target validation, and integration with modern data analytics to translational assay development and generation of complex preclinical models for biomarker discovery and reverse translation. We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to lead a strong and diverse translational research team. The ideal candidate will:
PhD in molecular oncology or equivalent training and background in the principles of oncology.
10+ years of experience in oncology drug discovery in a life sciences environment.
Proven leadership of cross-functional research efforts and experience working at the interface between discovery and development within the oncology field is essential.
Strong strategic management/coordination skills, with the ability to develop project roadmaps, manage timelines, and align key stakeholders across departments.
Computational biology skills and/or experience with large data mining; familiarity with life science software platforms (e.g. Benchling), cloud-based storage, integration, and compute infrastructures.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, particularly in tackling complex projects involving diverse scientific, technical, and leadership teams.
Small molecule drug development skills are a plus.
Direct experience with GEMMs and genetic engineering technologies.
Experience coordinating the curation, ingestion, and harmonization of legacy scientific data across internal, external, public, and licensed data sources.
