About the Team:
The Grocery Outlet Store Strategy and Support team is tasked with hiring and developing Aspiring Operator Trainees (AOTs). Our AOT's are the crucial pipeline of Independent Store Owners. We have a very rigorous selection and development approach, accomplished by robust sourcing and assessment, facilitating scalable learning and development, cultivating and communicating best practices and leveraging our unique culture. Our goal is to serve the AOT and Operator communities with integrity and accuracy while focusing on continual improvement, collaboration and FUN! The recruiting team is responsible for finding candidates who have a passion for grocery retail and an entrepreneurial spirit. The team fully educates AOT Candidates on the realities of Owning/Operating a Grocery Outlet store successfully, facilitates the relationship between AOTs and their Training Store Operators, provides an opportunity for families to build a business together, and foster the continuing development of an exceptional Operator network. Our training team develops blended training programs includes operator/mentor-lead in store immersion, classroom-based instructor lead facilitation with on-line supplemental learning. Training focuses on developing business acumen, along with leadership, merchandising, and marketing skills.
About the Role:
In this role, the Coordinator will help manage the financial and contractual relationship between Grocery Outlet, Inc. and the Independent Operators ("IOs") who own and operate our Grocery Outlet relation locations. The Coordinator will support the store transition process during IO ownership changes in operation of Grocery Outlet locations. Through this process, the Coordinator will collaborate frequently with various departments (Operations, Legal, Construction, Safety, Training, Business Operations, IT) as well as Independent Operators. This role will report to the Store Transition Admin Supervisor.
Responsibilities Include:
Facilitate the store transition process for New Store Openings and Independent Operator ("IO" or "IOs") changes:
* Hosting initial finance call to outline finance/administrative steps to be taken in the scope of a transition.
* Prepare and process the appropriate documentation, asset valuation, and any other administrative tasks pursuant to a successful transition
* Facilitate bank account setups and bank account changes
* Coordinate and assist Directors of Sales and Merchandising during the changeover process, including written and verbal communication with Incoming and Outgoing Operators to facilitate a smooth transition
* Effectively communicate with the transitions field and accounting team to ensure deadlines are met.
* Prepare accurate, detailed documentation needed for each respective transition.
* Support and develop process efficiencies
About The Pay:
* Base hourly range : $25.00 - $28.00

Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
About You:
* Associates or Bachelors Degree
* 0-3 years of accounting or finance experience and/or relevant experience in the grocery or retail field
* Strong written & verbal communication skills
* Experience in time management, attention to detail, problem solving, and organization
* Proficient in Microsoft office (particularly Excel) and other computer software
* Excellent interpersonal skills and willing to help a variety of backgrounds
* A highly curious nature that wants to find solutions to problems
