SALARY:

Specialist $70K - $75K + Bonus

Sr. Level $75K - $85K + Bonus

Production Activities

Provides professional arrangement to Production/Sales and Marketing/PR departments and works closely with manufacturing companies. Includes functions of managing and inputting purchase orders and ensuring a high level of understanding of the entire production process.

Job Responsibilities

Manage digital/printed materials production (Game Packaging, Advertising/Promotions/Events)

• Schedule printed materials production according to the game product production.
• Work closely with home office and designers to create and review art files and assets.
• Negotiate with vendors for costs and manufacture times.
• Coordinate on-time deliveries of ad/promo materials, packaging materials, etc.

Works as liaison between headquarters in Japan and U.S. office regarding digital/printed materials production and other projects.

Works closely with 1st party companies (Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft, and Nintendo of America) in order to submit digital/printed materials and assets. Responsible for all packaging-related and marketing/advertising related approvals.

Works closely with Sales and Marketing/PR/Social regarding manufacturing, Ad, Logo and Packaging design, and creation of materials necessary for sales and marketing use/promotion (including show assets/art and any other materials digital/physical related to game promotions).

In charge of all ESRB responsibilities including submissions and approvals of all content including full game ratings (both physical and digital products), all advertising/promotional-related assets including online ads/banners, website content, trailers, social media assets, etc.

In charge of new product manufacturing and reorders (including inputting purchase orders on 1st party websites); main contact for Sony DADC, Sonopress, Vantiva and other manufacturing-related vendors; responsible for negotiating contracts/costs with new vendors as well as controlling/negotiating manufacture/delivery times.

• Create purchase orders and manage product skus in SAP.
• Basic office administrative/IT-related work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required skills / knowledge:

1. Minimum 2-3 years experience working in production (digital/printed materials) in the console video game industry.
2. Excellent proofreading and editing skills of English language text materials.
3. Excellent Japanese and English communication skills, reading and writing skills, and the ability to translate documents from Japanese to English and vice-versa is highly preferred.
4. Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mac, Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design are must, along with design capabilities. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
5. A team player with the ability to multi-task under pressure.
6. Knowledge of printing and design are a plus.
7. Web-related design and knowledge are a plus.
