Summary

The Regional Visual Merchandising Manager will actas a primary liaison between the stores and Customer Central corporate office, thereby influencing policy and procedural changes that lead to maximising Store profitability through the achievement of high standards of commercial display and presentation and ongoing development of branch personnel working within company policies. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:

  • Provide effective network of communication between the field and the Customer Central team. Give constructive feedback at all times.
  • Monitor, measure and report findings on training and developments to conduct routine needs analysis to establish development requirements.
  • An inspirational leader with the ability to coach and mentor in order to improve individual and group competences.
  • Apply effective and sustainable solutions to the central/local Visual issues. Able to recognize and reflect local trends and influences whilst maintaining company identity.
  • Identification and development of key individuals in store through ongoing training to improve store standards of merchandising and display.
  • Target training requirement of store management where further development is required in specific areas of merchandising. Hold regular training to develop Management/Staff to a company standard.
  • Ensure ongoing development of personnel takes place to fulfill future vacancies.
  • Have effective lines of communication between Customer Central and stores, have company product knowledge and individual store knowledge of its performance.
  • Communication of new ideas and initiatives are encouraged to promote the ongoing development of JD & Finish Line.
  • Ensure the highest execution of initiatives across the designated region.
  • Ensure that focus stores are self-sufficient with in-store merchandisers.
  • Training and development of store leadership to ensure adequate, long-term visual merchandising strategies are executed.
  • Help promote high standards of commercial and visual excellence via store personnel to ensure all display presentation reflects current guidelines.
  • To be flexible in your hours of work.
  • To be an effective member of the retail team through the development of the company.
  • Be able to travel up to 85% of the time within region; or as needed to support projects and/or events.
  • Lead in the area of Visual Merchandising to the field team.
  • Work closely with and actively build relationships with Area Managers and Sales VP's cultivating a collaborative and effective environment.
  • Directly supervises Visual Support Managers and is responsible for their understanding of the company vision.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

2 - 4 years of management experience, inclusive of extensive visual merchandising work such as Shop Fits, Badge Flips and cage installs, etc. Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills

Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or Google Suite

equivalents.

The company reserves the right to modify this job description with or without notice. Employees may be asked to perform additional duties outside of normal job scope on a temporary basis per the company policy. Pay Range $68k - $73k (depending on experience); this role will be eligible for a geographical differential in addition to base salary in the amount of $12,500 to $15,000 depending on the employee's location of residence in Los Angeles; 15% bonus target. This role will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, parental leave, and company paid time off plan.
