The Prep Cook will assist the catering team for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and special/catered events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Odoo may identify additional duties of the position.

Schedule: Full-time schedule. Monday through Friday, ~6:00 am - 3:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous food prep experience is preferred.

Starting Pay: $21+ per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
  • Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
  • Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
  • Parboiling food, reducing sauces, and starting the first steps in various dishes
  • Kitchen organization and cleanliness to provide a safe environment for all employees and guests
  • Workplace Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • All internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • Clock in and out for the workday and clock in and out during breaks
  • Utilize food preparation procedures in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided
  • Notify management when there are any ingredient discrepancies/availability, food/equipment safety, or any other situation that requires management attention
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of kitchen experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License; the role requires approximately 10 minutes of travel per day
  • Ability to work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper
  • Work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Utilize team lift, transportation carts, and any other means of assistance when dealing with heavy loads.
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
