The ASP Site Coordinator ensures a high level of program quality that will expose youth to various learning opportunities, working to establish a positive relationship with all program participants, their families, and members of the school administration. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and welcoming after school program site, including spending time in ratio working directly with youth as needed. They will create an academic and enrichment-based program that is compliant with the Youth Development Principles of the YMCA of San Francisco.After School Program dates:

• San Francisco ASP sites: must be available to work August 19, 2024 - June 4, 2025
• San Mateo ASP sites: must be available to work August 19, 2024 - June 12, 2025
• Marin ASP sites: must be available to work August 22, 2024 - June 12, 2025Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Associate's degree or higher, or High School diploma/equivalent, and any of following: passed the District Instructional Aide Exam, CA Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST), or completed 48 college units verified by transcript
  • Must be available Mondays-Fridays, 40 hours/week during program hours, some weekends
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth programs
  • 6+ months in a supervisory role
  • Current YMCA approved CPR and First Aid certification (training available upon hire)
  • Fingerprint background check clearance
  • TB Test clearancePreferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree with teaching credential or passing score on CBEST
    • Child Development Site Supervisor Permit qualified (School-Age emphasis)
    • Demonstrate knowledge, familiarity, and experience working in or with schools within local school districts
    • Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, or other languageAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors.
