Help with plant conditions, growth, and diseases in the field as a Farm Assistant in Bakersfield, CA!

• Associate's degree in agriculture/plant science and five years of related farming experience with vegetables, in the open field and/or greenhouse is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Coordinates the daily assignments of a team consisting of labor contract workers.
• Gives proper instructions to temporary workers to conduct above mentioned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Monitor plant conditions, growth stages, and diseases in field trials.
• Report the status to breeders and or station manager, and takes necessary actions as needed or required.
• Conduct best horticultural practices in day-to-day activities including field preparations, regular irrigation schedule, fertilizing, cage construction, pesticide, fungicide, and herbicide.
• All other duties will be assigned.

Pay: $20-23/HR

Shift: 1 st ; Monday - Fridays (Some Saturdays)

Hours: 6am - 2:30pm
