Partner w/ Kirkland & Ellis LLP (San Francisco, CA). Working w/in the Antitrust & Competition practice group, manage legal strategy regarding antitrust risk, merger control, US govt agency engagement and antitrust regulatory compliance for US & cross-border M&A transactions. Requires a JD, or LLM or foreign equiv, & admission to the CA bar. Reqs 4 yrs exp. as an Associate attorney or related job/role/occupation w/ a law firm focusing on antitrust & competition matters. Exp must incl: Developing legal advice on antitrust risk, contract negotiation, govt agency engagement & antitrust regulatory clearance in the context of US & cross-border M&A transactions; Supporting corporate clients in antitrust & competition litigation, civil investigations, & antitrust agency engagement involving the Antitrust Division of the DOJ, the FTC, state AGs, & intl competition law enforcement agencies; Supporting doc production & compliance processes for antitrust & merger control filings; Acting in depositions, investigational hearings, & providing support in responses to subpoenas & civil investigation demands; Preparing advocacy submissions, responses to agency subpoenas, depos, & litigation filings in antitrust & competition matters; Evaluating proposed transactions to advise clients on transaction risks & regulatory clearance paths; & Coordinating antitrust filings w/intl co-counsel for regulatory clearance for cross-border transactions.
