SUMMARY: The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of incoming and outgoing materials throughout GCM Facility. The hours of work will be 1 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Handles, moves, and transacts materials during receiving, put-away, floor replenishment, and shipment in a prompt, efficient, accurate mannerIssues and posts daily cycle countsIdentify, communicate, and resolve issues that disrupt material movementSupport production, purchasing and quality assurance, material movement requirementsOperates material handling (forklift and pallet jack) equipment safely per policy and procedures; conducts safety inspections of all forklifts prior to useReads production schedules, work orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributedLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelvesPulling and packaging of materialMust be a team player as measured by his/her peersPerforms other related duties assignedRequirementsREQUIRED High School Diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of progressive experience working in a shipping or warehouse environmentAbility to operator forklift, drive utility cart and use pallet jacksDESIREDStrong work ethic with a positive attitudeSomeone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business Someone who is personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goals A strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a teamA problem solver with a solution focused mindset
