EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 2-4 years

BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The proposal & business development specialist will play a key role in assisting the Marketing Department on proposal execution and business development initiatives while assisting with the day-to-day organization, coordination, and execution of various marketing campaigns across all disciplines.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Create proposals based on RFPs and RFQs criteria while coordinating and controlling the content, quality, and delivery of proposals.
  2. Produce high-quality proposals consistent with corporate branding rules and best practices.
  3. Assist in initiating and driving improvement in the quality of proposal deliverables.
  4. Assist in planning and organizing the activities of multi-disciplinary proposal teams.
  5. Continually look for ways to improve existing proposal process, copy, and template.
  6. Proposal deadlines will require some overtime.
  7. Assist with CRM management (inputting, updating, and maintaining records).
  8. Assist with business development processes and corporate needs.
  9. Track win rate and report metrics back to the Marketing Manager.
  10. Collaborate across disciplines and teams to gather information necessary for proposals and other projects.
  11. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Skill Set:

  1. Strong writing skills – A/E/C experience preferred.
  2. Heavy emphasis on collaboration, facilitation to obtain inputs from several people in a very dynamic environment while maintaining effective working relationships.
  3. Be deadline driven and proactive on follow-up based on schedule milestones to meet proposal submittal deadline.
  4. A can-do attitude, team-player, willing to learn/take initiative, a problem solver, and quick learner.
  5. Always looking for ways to improve whether it's skills, processes, or something else.
  6. Organized and good at multi-tasking.
  7. Comfortable working with various personality types while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  8. Data-entry familiarity.
  9. Graphic design proficiency (digital and print) and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).

Education/Certification Requirements:
May hold an associate's or bachelor's degree; no degree required.

Pay Range: $30-35 per hour
