About the Role:

Our Operations Team oversees Venteur's insurance offerings, financial management, contracts, invoicing, and compliance. This role requires highly detailed and organized individuals who welcome the challenge of navigating complex problems.

As part of a fast-growing startup, you'll play a leadership role in building operational systems and processes to allow our business to scale rapidly. You'll also play a key role in creating and implementing quality assurance systems that ensure we meet a high degree of customer satisfaction. The best part? Your work will make a difference. On a daily basis, we help families save thousands of dollars on their health care.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform repetitive insurance operations tasks on a daily basis
  • Reconcile payment records, identify discrepancies, and resolve any payment-related issues
  • Conduct regular audits of payment records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines, contractual agreements, and internal policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness
  • Manage the lifecycle of contracts and business relationships, including drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and relevant documentation
  • Prepare and submit required filings and reports to regulatory agencies in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Monitor changes in regulations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years proven experience in operations management, preferably in a fintech, insurance, or healthcare setting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Excel and tools for data analysis and management
  • Ability to obtain a health insurance brokerage license (existing license is a plus)
  • Your communication and problem-solving skills have been honed on remote teams, so you know how important it is to lean on unambiguous, asynchronous written communication, leave a trail of thinking, and capture decisions using tools that enable easy discovery for your teammates.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B2C (especially in insurance or FinTech).
  • Familiarity with healthcare insurance regulations, PCI compliance, and/or NACHA standards
  • Experience with contract management systems or software
  • Familiarity with business license requirements and filing processes
