Description

The school seeks a candidate who can promote the school's Lasallian Catholic mission of serving students and can promote the school's core values of faith, integrity, and scholarship.

PRIMARY ROLE

  • Produce high-quality work to fulfill the artistic vision of the director Guide students in set design, prop creation, and sound and light design for main-stage productions
  • Maintain technical theater equipment including lighting and sound systems.
  • Facilitate and supervise safe student construction of set pieces in a co-curricular setting.
  • Facilitate and supervise student use of lighting and sound equipment.
  • Direct/manage student crews during technical rehearsals and performances of stage production.
  • Maintain set construction and storage spaces

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Ability to program ETC Eos lighting console.
  • Knowledge of intelligent and LED lighting programming.
  • Ability to operate digital sound mixing consoles.
  • Carpentry skills and knowledge of safe power tool operation.


Qualifications

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  • Maintains open, helping relationships with students. Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the set-building and technical theater processes.
  • Effectively manages student behavior to ensure students are safe and using time efficiently.
  • Ensures that student growth and achievement are continuous and appropriate for the age group and subject.
  • Works collaboratively and cooperatively with faculty, staff, administration, and parents.
  • Believes in the work of Lasallian Catholic education and shows evidence of developing the whole person through activities that help students grow in mind, body, soul, and spirit.
  • Has the skills to work with a variety of student needs and to serve multiple learning styles.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • 8-10 hours per week, 8-10 weeks per show.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimally holds or is working towards a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Qualified applicants who are Catholic receive priority consideration.

SALARY RANGE

•Compensation range is $25-$33 per hour, based on education and experience.
