Watch this video to learn more about Reading Partners.The high level:As a key member of Reading Partners' leadership team, the Vice President of Partnerships and Growth (VPSPG) will initially report directly to the CEO but will eventually report to the incoming Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and play a critical role in the overall scale of our organization. During this critical moment in our country's educational landscape, Reading Partners is anchoring itself as part of educational equity solution and broadening our focus from local direct service, focused solely on 1:1 tutoring, to a leader in the literacy landscape, by partnering with national organizations and communities to exponentially serve more students that support students and serve as an ambassador for Reading Partners' REDI work. The VPSPG will lead the charge around our growth and partnerships at a national level for our training and technical assistance model, Reading Partners Partnerships model by leading business development and forging partnerships with national partners to support students through tutoring and additional ways outside of tutoring. The role will act as the face of this work and use our strategic plan to build out our scale working across the broader organization to advance initiatives and various dimensions of Reading Partners' mission. They will build out a team of direct reports over a one to three-year period who will support these strategies.The VPSPG is a leader, strategist, and implementer with an entrepreneurial mindset. You lead and advance work through engagement, partnership, and consensus-building. You will manage a team of 2-3 people who are focused on growing our partnership work in specific markets. Location: This position is remote but requires candidates to reside within one of Reading Partners' markets. Reading Partners markets include Baltimore, MD, Denver, CO, Charleston, SC, Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY, North Texas (Dallas and Fort Worth), San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Twin Cities, MN, Tulsa, OK, and Washington, D.C.What you'll do:Strengthen and grow partnerships - 60%Develop comprehensive outreach plans to strengthen the partnerships pipeline.Scale the partnership department by hiring staff to support business development. Identify new partnership opportunities for growth and scale while maintaining and growing existing partnerships.Build capacity, delivery, and systems partners.Take a consultative approach to build partnerships, recognizing the nuance of needs and differentiation to combat root causes of educational inequity. Partner with the CGO and the Vice President of National Philanthropy (VPNP) on fundraising and development strategies and proposals to support this work broadly.Partner with the Vice President of National Programs to assess partner readiness and support start-up preparation during the recruitment process. Work closely with the National Program team as new partners transition to the implementation phase.Collaborate with national departments to strengthen processes and infrastructure to scale partnership work (10%).Build the best practices for seeking new partners and engaging partners in long-term relationships. (10%).Build Reading Partners Brand as a literacy industry expert - 15%Facilitate opportunities to build the Reading Partners brand as an industry-trusted thought leader by participating in relevant conferences and networking events.In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team at Reading Partners, develop an online presence for the innovations and partnerships work on our website via marketing strategies and campaigns.Develop external-facing collateral for partnership work.Manage and Lead a growing team - 25%Manage and support the Managing Director of Newark who will lead the scale and launch of programming in the Newark, NJ market.Support and hire additional partnerships team members to support the growth of partnerships.How you'll do it:CollaborateThe VPSPG will be responsible for bringing people together, working across functions to advance our plans to scale. We aim to set salaries based on objective, external, high-quality market data. Our salaries are adjusted for candidates in different geographic regions. We do our very best to ensure that we're bringing our best offer - therefore we do not engage in salary negotiations.This is a full-time, exempt, and salaried position. The pay range for this position is $170,723 - $200,850 per year and is contingent on geographic location. After applying, candidates who move forward in the hiring process are provided with the salary for their geographical location.
