BASIC PURPOSEJanitor position to wash/clean, mop, vacuum, wipe down and dust as explained by Corps Officers to keep corps building, building surrounding, parking lot and parking lot surroundings clean.Must have basic English communication ability. Basic Computer skills, word, excel, outlook, etc. etc.The Custodial / Repair position will perform basic repair functions in our shelter rooms, clean rooms as needed, wash change linen as required, perform light repair work in and around the Garden St shelter facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCleaning of rooms when clients move outMake necessary repairs in rooms if possibleWash, change and replace old linen as neededShampoo Carpetswhen room becomes vacant KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaAbility to speak Basic English.Excellent communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Strong ability to utilize a high level of time management and handling multiple tasksInventory of rooms to include; mattress covers & conditions, pillows, sheets, update facility manager as needed for replacements and needed repairs.Perform assigned task as determined by supervisor.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust be 21 years or older.
