As a Recreation Therapist at Nextaff, you will:
- Record and track patients' assessment progress and discharge status in accordance with institutional policies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care interventions
- Assess reports from physiotherapists, teachers, physicians, and counselors to determine patient functioning levels
- Educate clients on injury prevention, treatment, and overall health promotion
- Observe and analyze patients during treatment sessions
- Stay up-to-date with new treatments and research developments
Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Recreation Therapist
- Certification as a Recreation Therapist by the California Board of Parks OR Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
- Licenses Required: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
