Position Summary

Under the direction of the Reflections' Management Team, the Program Assistant is an active participant in our clients' first steps of recovery and overall experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide constant support/engage in recovery dialogue and behaviors with clients
  • Enforce client rules and regulations for physical, emotional, and spiritual safety
  • Document thorough shift notes pertaining to each individual client and distribute them to appropriate staff at the end of your shift
  • Stay awake and alert at all hours
  • Maintain a business casual dress code
  • Perform Med-count and Key Exchange at the beginning and end of each shift (if applicable)
  • Medication observation and documentation/Detox Observation and client monitoring
  • Obtain and send out Urine Analysis as needed if the medical staff is not available
  • Administer/assist in all intakes during the above hours per intake training provided
  • Facilitate groups as needed
  • Take clients to meetings/outings as needed (in company vehicle only)
  • General maintenance as needed (restock coffee, place settings at the table, wipe down surfaces, restock beverages in client fridge, load/unload the dishwasher, etc.)
  • Make sure clients receive schedules Sunday night (if applicable)
  • Bring in daily newspapers in the morning (if applicable)
  • Enter and maintain EHR notes and Psychosocial assessments, etc. (if applicable)
  • Participates in activities needed to support the management functions of the team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • CAS registered (or equivalent) under the California Association of Addiction and Recovery Resources is required before/upon hire
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer/pre-employment physical and drug test
  • Must have a current/annual negative Tuberculosis results clearance
  • Must be fully COVID-19 Vaccinated
  • Demonstrated ability in dealing directly with clients

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
