Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is a member the Inventory Planning Management team responsible for the strategic planning of Candy Shop inventory positions to drive sales, manage inventory turn, and meet or exceed financial targets. Responsible for leading a team of inventory management personnel to ensure inventory planning, allocation and replenishment are in accordance with corporate philosophy and procedures in customer service, quality, safety and cost containment. The Manager of Inventory Planning creates and implements inventory optimization best practices for both the inventory management team and Sees shop teams. This role is assigned projects that generate financial return, enhance customer experience, minimize product waste and streamline inventory management process and flow.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with the development, implementation and support of inventory management/supply chain initiatives and capabilities that support overall company and brand goals.

- Design inventory strategies that balance the composition of new and seasonal, core bulk, support in-stock and turn objectives, and fit within the bounds of retail shop operations.

- Provide research, analysis and support for identifying, evaluating and resolving strategic opportunities.

- Develop, implement and train demand planning and allocation best practices to current inventory management and operations teams.

- Ensure correct product flow to shops by SKU/location.

- Plan seasonal product quotas in partnership with Sr. Manager of Shop Operations and Director of Retail.

- Leverage historical data to identify key learnings around the product, pricing, and inventory and apply learnings to future seasons.

- Seek feedback and course correct merchandise planning and distribution issues.

- Prepare presentation materials and assist in presenting findings to all levels of management.

- Proactively surface and communicate business issues to develop best practices and requirements for inventory management processes.

- Assists Senior Manager(s) and Director(s) with special projects, as it pertains to planning/allocation.

- Responsible for identifying utilizing and enhancing technology to support the effectiveness of the department

- Coordinate with Procurement, Product Support Group and Fulfillment.

Job Requirements

- 3+ years' experience in Inventory Management with emphasis on demand planning, forecasting, and/or business analytics required, preferably within seasonal and/or grocery/perishable retail.

- BA/BS in Business Administration, economics, Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field; equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

- Relevant experience will include previous experience in an Analyst capacity managing inventory demand and forecast planning for e-commerce and/or brick & mortar retail.

- Demonstrated analytical ability with an aptitude for building a narrative around the data that leads to action and revenue.

- Organized and detail-oriented, experienced in building out successful processes and teams.

- Self-motivated and independent thinker.

- Industry knowledge in retail, E-commerce, or consumer product goods.

- Expert level proficiency in MS Excel.

- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

- Strong oral and written presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple ways to all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated conceptual and creative problem solving orientation with exceptional ability to create structured analyses from disparate sources of information.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to structure complex work streams and work independently and with teams.

- Ability to drive results across simultaneous projects under tight time pressures

- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner.
